#CrownedJewels: Rest + Relax
Stop glorifying "busy". You've done it, I've done it, we all do it. A quick tweet about how long your to-do list is. An instagram post of your desk + five cups of coffee you just chugged. Blog posts talking about how to "balance" three jobs, a blog, two side hustles and still have time for a clean house. Telling your friends at the bar how many projects you're working on right now. News flash: that's definitely not balance. (I'm looking right at myself on all of these, y'all.)
But enough is enough. Chill out & be patient with yourself. Enjoy a lazy morning if you can, sleep as much as possible, go for long walks. Call your best friend, don't text them. Take long baths. Buy an expensive bottle of wine and just savor it. Read something fictional. Rest. Relax.
This weekend, rest.
I invite you to take a look at the jewels below that I've found helpful for chilling out. I also invite you to share any apps, articles, tips or playlists that you love for relaxing in the comments or on twitter! That way, we can all start glorifying rest, together.

Toca Nature: It's designed for children, I believe. But nothing calms my mind & zens me out more then building my own little world, feeding the animals of the forest & watching them be beautiful.
HeadSpace: I'm not great at meditating. & I've only done a few of the meditations, but they make meditating easier & less-awkward for me.
Evernote: I talk about EN a lot, but in this case, I'm talking about using it to make sure I never forget anything & to write any worries or random junk that pops into my head. That way, I don't have to stress about forgetting those things that aren't pressing, nor do I have to worry about losing the time sensitive or important stuff. Just get it all out, ya know?
OTHER BIG NEWS:
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you already know... but my mom & I's stationery shop has finally opened! For those of you who are long-time readers of mine, you'll remember the original It's Paper Dear. After closing her down the first time, I knew she'd come back to me. & Now, she's back! (Albeit in quite a different form currently. *cough-cough*) I would be enormously honored if you popped over & took a look at all of our hard work & maybe shared it with the paper lovers in your life <3
Here are a few goodies to listen to while you savor that bottle of wine.
